Overview

Plan is an information systems tool that enables the manufacturing industry to define a systematic approach in producing a quality product. It is easy to learn and operate. It is designed specially for use by manufacturing personnel rather than high-priced,technically oriented data processing staff. It consists of several modules, integrated to function as a team. This facility allows free exchange of current information from one department to the other, eliminating loss of information and delays in transmission.

It is made up of six sub-systems. They are :

  • Bill of Material[BOM]
  • Material Accounting System[MAS]
  • Material Requirement Planning System[MRP I]
  • Capacity Requirement Planning System[MRP II]
  • Purchase Order System
  • Customer Order Processing System

Material Accounting System[MAS]

The Material Accounting system(MAS) wil track material at all stages – from the point the material enters the factory to the point when it is despatched. For all such material it can show :

  • Where the material is
  • (work-in-progress,sub-contractor) ?
  • What stage of production it is in?
  • How much is available?
  • How much scrap is generated and where?
  • What and how much is salvaged?
  • Handles multiple stocking locations

Material Requirement Planning System[MRP I]

The Material Requirement Planning System (MRP) assesses the material requirements and prepares a set of indents to meet the production requirements. The system will:

  • Assess the production plan
  • Find out the requirements of inputs
  • Consider material available
  • Consider material on order
  • Gives material requirements

Material Requirement Planning System[MRP I]

The Material Requirement Planning System (MRP) assesses the material requirements and prepares a set of indents to meet the production requirements. The system will:

  • Assess the production plan
  • Find out the requirements of inputs
  • Consider material available
  • Consider material on order
  • Gives material requirements

Capacity Requirement Planning System[MRP]

The Capacity Requirements Planning System(CRPS) assesses the capacity requirements and repares the capacity plan to meet the production requirements. The system will:

  • Find out the load on the available machinery
  • Consider the production processes involved
  • Consider output for each machine
  • consider the man power available
  • Gives the Capacity requirements

Purchase Order System

This system will receive indents automatically from MRP for production materials or allow direct entries for other items and monitor the conversion into orders. The system will:

  • Print purchase orders to match requisitions raised from various user departments
  • Monitor and control the priorities of planned and released purchase orders
  • Release payment orders after comparing with on-line information about goods received and credit period.

Customer Order Processing System

The Customer Order Processing system(COPS) will:

  • Track enquiries received
  • Raise quotations
  • Track acceptance of orders
  • Print Delivery challans
  • Monitor despatches made
  • Print Invoices
  • Follow up on payments

The modules are linked on-line and there is free exchange of information from one department to the other. This gives the user the current insight into the working of the unit and can take accurate decisions based on the information available. In addition to the generation of various documents ,the system analyses the data, generates reports and provides answers to various queries. All this is configured to suit individual requirements of your organisation.

Access Lock-the state of the art Security System

  • Facility to create and edit user names and associated group & passwords.
  • Facility to assign or remove restrictions easily by stepping through the entire system.
  • Access specific modules assigned for the group or users flexibly.
  • System Transaction log containing the list of modifications made by whom, when etc.,

Bill of Materials

The BOM is used to create and maintain information about the structure of the products. The user can create and maintain a list of all the finished goods, assemblies and raw materials, and the process stages in the product’s manufacture and then connect this information to form the product tree.

Inventory Control System

The Material Accounting system(MAS) wil track material at all stages – from the point the material enters the factory to the point when it is despatched. For all such material it can show :

  • Where the material is (work-in-progress,sub-contractor)?
  • What stage of production it is in?
  • How much is available?
  • How much scrap is generated and where?
  • What and how much is salvaged?
  • Handles multiple stocking locations

Material Requirement PLanning (MRP-I)

  • The Material Requirement Planning System (MRP) assesses the material requirements and prepares a set of indents to meet the production requirements. The system will:

    • Assess the production plan
    • Find out the requirements of inputs
    • Consider material available
    • Consider material on order
    • Gives material requirements
